Seriously creepy artist H.R. Giger, best known for his work on the set-design (and monster design!) for the original Alien movie, has teemed up with Ibanez to create these limited edition H.R. Giger guitars, which feature graphic designs by Giger himself, and the shredability you’ve come to expect from Ibanez.
The Giger guitars apparently come in two different models – the ICHRG2 (shown above, and built on Ibanez’s popular “Ice Man” body) and the RGTHRG1 (built on the more traditional looking “RG”.)
While a little over-the-top for my tastes, if you’re a fan of the man (and who isn’t!) and you want a guitar that’s sure to scare the kiddies, you just might want to take a better look at the Giger/Ibanez ICHRG2 – it’s expected to be popular among collector’s and metalheads alike…
The Ibanez H.R. Giger Signature Series ICHRG2 is expected to feature H.R. Giger’s “NY City VI” graphic on top of a mahogany body, a 3-pc maple neck, rosewood fretboard 22 medium frets, seriously devilish parallelogram inlays, an Axis AH1 humbucker at the neck, Axis AH2 humbucker at the bridge, dual voume controls, dual tone controls, 3-way pickup switching, and a Quickchange tailpiece,

Wow…that thing is crazy! Not my style perhaps for an instrument, but I love Giger’s work :D
Thanks for sharing it!
