Harmony Central is reporting that Fender has announced a new limited edition line of guitars and basses in commemoration of the company’s 60th Anniversary.
The new “Diamond Anniversary” series will apparently include the American Stratocaster, American Telecaster, and Jazz & Precision Basses.
The instruments, which will only be available from January through Dec. 31, 2006, are expected to come in a single finish – 2-Color Sunburst, and will also include a 60th Anniversary commemorative engraved neck plate, a custom case (with mbroidered 60th Anniversary logo,) and a special “jewel” emblem on the headstock.
60th Anniversary Strat and Tele models are expected to carry a suggested retail price of $1,571.41, with the Precision & Jazz Basses going for $1,642.84.
