Powerful & Pretty – Gibson Introduces Les Paul Goddess Cary Jan 26th

Gibson Les Paul Goddess-7It’s About Time…

Gibson announced 15 new guitars at NAMM last week, including a groundbreaking and entirely new line of instruments aimed at fulfilling the needs of female guitar players – the Goddess line – and the Les Paul Goddess is one of these new guitars.

These aren’t just prettier versions of their standard counterparts, either. They’re built entirely with the female guitarist in mind, and include such modifications as lighter/smaller mahogany bodies, thinner profile necks (for smaller hands,) and of course an entirely new range of finishes – all while sporting the same high-quality craftsmanship you’d expect from a Gibson.

With a pair of Gibon’s powerful 490R/498T humbuckers on board, along with that slim tapered fast-action neck, the Les Paul Goddess manages to be both powerful & pretty…a truly deadly combination. In fact, we liked the Les Paul Goddess so much we named it number one in our Top 10 Guitars For Girls list for 2006!

The Gibson Les Paul Goddess Features–

  • Carved Maple Top
  • Light Weight Mahogany Back
  • Slim-Taper Mahogany Neck
  • Ebony Fingerboard With 22 Frets
  • Trapezoid Inlays
  • 490R Humbucker At The Neck
  • 498T Humbucker At the Bridge
  • One Volume & One Tone Control
  • 3-Way Pickup Switching
  • Black Reptile Pattern Hardshell

The Les Paul Goddess comes in the following new finishes: Rose Burst, Sky Burst, Ice Burst, Violet Burst, and Ebony.

  1. Nicole Rose:

The Goddess is a great guitar. I got one for my birthday. :) it’s a true les paul in it’s playability and tone and sound. hope they can make it lighter still although i woudn’t want to ruin the tone. i’d rather play with a saggy shoulder lol.

    Hi Nicole,

I’m really happy to hear that you’re liking your new Les Paul Goddess – I think the time was long since overdue for Gibson to start making these beautiful instruments for more than just the boys. You must be very happy… that’s a heck of a birthday present!

    :)
