For the next few weeks I’m planning on going over this year’s batch of new guitars introduced at last month’s NAMM conference, starting out with Fender’s new Deluxe Power Stratocaster.
As with most Fender Strats, this one looks to be a classic right off the bat — it’s built on a solid alder body, and armed with a humbucker at the bridge, two Tex-Mex™ Strat® single coils in the neck and center pickup positions, and a C-shaped neck for easy playability.
According to Fender it’s one of the most versatile Stratocasters the company has made; a lot of that versatility no doubt owing to 5-way pickup switching and the Deluxe Power Strat’s piezo Fishman® Power Bridge…nice.
The Fender Deluxe Power Stratocaster Features–
- Alder Body
- Maple Neck
- Rosewood Fingerboard With 21 Medium Jumbo Frets
- Dual Tex-Mex™ Strat® Single-Coil Pickups
- Single Tex-Mex Strat Humbucking Pickup
- Master Volume Control, And Two Tone Controls
- 5-Way Pickup Switching
- Fishman® Power Bridge™ with Tremolo
- Chrome Hardware
And it comes in a number of groovy finishes, including the classic Black, 2-Color Sunburst or Fender’s lovely Honey Blonde.
