While we’re on the subject of girl-guitars, check out Gibson’s newly introduced SG Goddess. Like the other guitars in their new female-oriented line, the SG Goddess looks like it’s going to pack a real punch.
Built on a significantly slimmer body, you might be quick to assume that this is just a watered-down SG, but in reality it looks to be a full-on powerhouse – the guitar sports dual Alnico humbuckers just like the SG Standard (490R & 498T,) a solid mahogany body, and a mahogany slim taper, ‘60s-style neck, presumably for easier playability for smaller hands.
Oh yeah, and it’s got those sexy SG curves you’ve come to love… it should be interesting to see how this entirely new line of guitars fares in the real world––there’s no doubt that girls are rocking more than ever… but are they buying?

I have started playing this guitar and I still can’t stop! The uncovered pickups create a better sound than if they were covered in a guitar i.e. a Les Paul. The action is also great. the inlays are common among Gibsons, but they still shine. the translucent aspect of the pickups are just amazing. the fact that you can see the copper winding is just amazing. this guitar is just great. if you can get your hands on one, do it. sell your other guitars if you need to, just do it.
