Summer Of Love: Danelectro’s DC12 Twelve String Cary Mar 7th
While we’re on the subject of twelve string guitars, check out Danelectro’s hella’-garage-band styled DC12. Is it more style than substance? Could be: but it lists for under $500 US, so you can’t really be too choosey on this one. Besides, it’s a Danelectro and that’s part of the appeal!
The DC12 is made of Masonite & Plywood – stop laughing – and it’s got those great old-school lipstick pickups you’d expect from a Danelectro. My favorite part of this guitar, though, has to be that oversized headstock (it’s gotta’ be big to hold 12 pegs!) and that super-swirly pickguard.
The Danelectro DC12 12-String Features–
- Masonite & Plywood Body
- Maple Neck
- Rosewood Fretboard With 21 Frets
- Dual Single-Coil Lipstick Pickups
- One Volume & One Tone Control
- 3-Way Pickup Switching
- Adjustable Truss Rod & Allen Wrench
The Danelectro DC12 offers full-on “summer of love” styling, from the undisputed king of psychedelic guitars.
