A lot less in-your-face than Gibson’s racing-striped SG GT, the newly announced Les Paul GT harkens back to the rockin’ 1950s with a hot, hot, hot flaming paint job on the top side (subtle, but cool,) and even an old-school ’50s Les Paul neck.
Admittedly, the styling may be a little over the top for today’s morose, navel-gazing guitarist, but for the truly unapologetic musician, the Les Paul GT just screams rock & roll.
This thing is truly built for speed…truly — it’s got locking tuners, a cable lock (yep, no more yanking your cord out during red-hot solos,) strap locks, and a pair of coil-tapped 490R & 498T humbucking pickups. Ya’ know what I say? Speed up or get off of the road! hehe…
