VACATION TIME!
Well, tomorrow I’m off to the Big island of Hawaii for a much needed two weeks of rest, relaxation, and mai-tais. But don’t worry – I’ve pre-posted enough stuff to keep you all busy while, so Electric Guitar Review will continue to be updated automagically while I’m gone :)
In parting, I thought it would be fun to leave you with a quick look at this most Hawaiian of modern guitars, the Gold Tone Lap Steel. Yep, this lovely solid body instrument is apparently based on the original Hawaiian designs, and it sports a vintage single-coil, binding on the body & fingerboard, and a cool engraved metal palm rest.
Unfortunately there aren’t a whole lot of specs available at this time, but from what I can gather the Gold Tone Lap Steel Guitar Features–
- Solid Mahogany Body
- Sunburst Finish On Top & Back
- Square Neck
- Kluson-Style Tuning Machines
- Raised Bone Nut
- Tone & Volume Controls
- White Body & Fretboard Binding
- Engraved Metal Palm Rest
- 25 Inch Scale Length
Well, that’s about it for now…hope you all have a lovely two weeks, and I’ll see you with a tan and a big fat grin on my face when I get back on April 10th.
Aloha!
