Rare Find: Blueshawk.info

Wed, May 3, 2006

Gibson Blueshawk InfoA while back I wrote a post about Gibson’s very contemporary hollowbody guitar known as the Blueshawk – at the time I hadn’t heard a whole lot about the instrument, but it’s come to my attention that the “Hawk,” as it’s affectionately called, has a loyal and growing following, particularly among the Blues, R&B & Jazz crowds.

Anyways, if you’re interested in learning more about the Gibson Blueshawk I can highly recommend Blueshawk.info, an unofficial website dedicated entirely to this charming instrument. Blueshawk.info is a veritable treasure-trove, offering in-depth information on specs, construction, modifications, and even a great historic line-up depicting the evolution of the “Hawk,” from 1993’s Nighthawk to the current Blueshawk.

Nice work all around, and the site’s creator, Tone, has obviously put his heart and soul into building this phenomenal resource for the Blueshawk lover… Go check it out!

Hi… I have a blueshawk. Someone took the Varitone circuit out of the guitar. I still have the dummy coil, which I took out. (take it from me…a dumb thing to do) anyway, what I want to do is restore this guitar. Does anyone know where I can get the wiring schematic and diagram? Thanks
