I owned an original Gibson Les Paul Silverburst back in 1980. I had it for about 5 years or so and it was a great player/looker.I always regreted selling it. So much later I found out it was limited edition etc.etc. and couldn’t touch one used at the price tag they became.
I have owned this Epi for about a year and this is a great guitar !!!
Plays as good as the ole one and brings back some haunting memeories.Ha!
Sell your girlfriend,mother or your dog before you let this go !!
You don’t get second chances and screw them up !

I have one and I will never part with it. Although I’d love to put some Seymour Duncan’s in it like Adam Jones from TOOL, I don’t have the heart to mess with it right now. The stock silver humbuckers look and sound great. Right out of the box the action was set nice and low for easy payability. everyone who has seen or played it now wants one too.

Hey i am about to order this guitar. From the reviews its seems like this guitar is amazing. i have an ibanez RG series and was wondering if the strings on this are close to the fretboard like the ibanez i own. i find it much easier to play with strings closer to the fretboard. i havent been playing very long so excuse me if i sound “stupid”.

i had that guitar and it is really amazing, but i found it very easy on guitar world or guitar center or something like that, maybe you sholud look around there and buy one, its really good and it looks way better

I received this magnificent marriage of art and function for Christmas and let me tell you, IT’S AMAZING!!!! It was ordered at Guitar Center in Dallas and had to be shipped in from out of state. IT WAS HARD TO FIND. The price was exactly $647. It had a small scratch around the binding on the back but I thought it added character. I loved this guitar because of Adam Jones (TOOL), and although we use different pickups (i threw in emg 81/85) this thing has never disappointed. From heavy ass crunching metal to sweet clean leads, to balls out blues this thing leads the pack. I too was a bit daunted at how beautiful it was and was almost scared to handle it too roughly. But, now, I can’t keep my hands off it. Every player I know now wants one!!

Hi. Well, I fell in love too, when i saw it…. Ordered it, it took 2 months longer to turn up than it should have and I DONT CARE! it was so totally worth the wait. I own quite a few guitars, including a u.s strat and an s.g and this things just shoves them out the way….. It is quite simply stunning. The sustain from this baby is incredible, it feels lovely, plays perfectly and looks fantastic….. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.

I have a question about this guitar for those who have played it. I recently played a gibson version of this and i fell in love with it completely but the price (about $3000) scared the shit out of me. I’m wondering if it would be a smart idea to buy this Epiphone Custom and put 57′ classic humbuckers on it since those are what are on the gibson version.
