Washburn To Unveil Damen Idol At Summer NAMM ‘06

Washburn Damen IdolWashburn fans take note. The guitar maker is planning to unveil the latest addition to their popular Idol line of guitars – the new Damen Idol – at this summer’s NAMM 2006 Summer show in Austin,TX.

According to their press release the instrument’s name is an homage to Damen Avenue in Chicago, part of the famed Wicker Park neighborhood, which is known for being a creative hot-bed of indie and punk band talent.

The Damen Idol is expected to sport a stylin’ flame maple top on a double-cutaway mahogany body, Seymour Duncan pickups, and of course Washburn’s now signature Buzz Feiten tuning system, which allows for superior intonation control all the way up the neck.
