Schecter Guitars is celebrating thirty years in the music business with the release of their cool new Diamond Series guitars, which come in the following models: S-1 (shown here,) PT, C-1, Tempest, and Traditional.
According to their FAQ, the 30th Anniversary models are all built in South Korea (like the ESP EC-400 Archtop I just ordered,) but are hand set-up entirely in Schecter’s Burbank workshop.
Unlike a number of other guitars built overseas (including cheaper Schecters,) the Diamond Series sports a pair of authentic Seymour Duncan ’59/Custom humbuckers — not the lower quality, and outsourced Duncan Designed pickups.
Just on looks alone my favorite of these instruments is the 30th Anniversary S-1, which includes a flamed maple top with transparent amber finish, a TonePros bridge unit, and a pair of super-cool Diamond Anniversary engraved gold pickups… smoothe.
The Schecter 30th Anniversary S-1 Features–
- Solid Mahogany Body
- Flame-Maple Top
- Mahogany Neck
- 24.75“ Scale Length
- Ebony Fretboard With 22 Frets
- Coat Of Arms Inlay At 12th Fret
- Seymour Duncan Custom /’59 Humbuckers
- Two Volume & One Tone Control
- 3-Way Pickup Switching With Tapping
- TonePros Bridge
- Sperzel Machine Heads
These beauties are listing at just under $1300, but I’m guessing they’ll sell somewhere in the $800 price range once they become available.

Congratulations! I doubted there were any more of these going around, at least in the “new” marketplace.
