Ok, I may not be a huge Aerosmith fan (although I’m the first to admit that Steven Tyler is pretty damned entertaining, and I certainly don’t have anything against the band) but this Joe Perry Signature “Boneyard” Les Paul from Epiphone is drop-dead gorgeous.
Yeah, you may have noticed that there is a much more expensive “Gibson” version of the Joe Perry Signature, and I’m sure it’s even better looking than the Epiphone, but often times I prefer to highlight the more affordable models – you know, for us mere mortals. I know I don’t have the money for a Gibson Signature model… do you?
Anyways, it’s no surprise that Joe Perry has a Les Paul named after him – heck, Aerosmith’s been pounding out radio hits since I was crawling around on all fours, and Perry himself is a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer… Signature guitars just come with the territory.
While a Les Paul may be a Les Paul may be a Les Paul, there are three things that really set this guitar apart: the uniquely beautiful “Aged Tiger” finish, a cool Boneyard Logo on the headstock, and of course a pair of authentic Gibson Burstbucker pickups (that’s right, none of those cheaper Designed by Duncan offerings.)
The Epiphone Joe Perry Boneyard Les Paul Features–

Considering that the “Gibson” version of the Joe Perry Boneyard goes for over four-grand, well, this Epiphone model just looks like a steal.
