Well, if you’ve ever considered purchasing one of ESP’s incredibly cool Eclipse IIs in Vintage Black, now might be the time to act. It looks like music123 has done away with their official “Price Drop” category, but as far as I can tell the Eclipse II is now on sale – currently going for just over $1600.
This guitar is a Metalhead’s dream come true, and I’m actually kind of surprised to find it available at all since Musician’s Friend seems to be out of them entirely, and the Vintage Black color scheme has been exceedingly popular since its release.
From what I’ve read the ESP Eclipse II excels at producing a heavy, heavy tone via a pair of active EMG 81/60 pickups – not for the faint of heart – and of course the whole package looks incredibly badass, with a matte black finish, black pickups, and all that gold hardware.
Other features include a mahogany body, three-piece mahogany neck, 24 3/4-inch scale length, ebony fretboard, aged triple white binding, Sperzel locking tuning machines (yes!) and a whole lot more.
