Well, I’m about to skip town for the evening to head over to Oakland, CA to catch the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the West Coast leg of their Stadium Arcadium Tour.
While I’ve pretty much loved all of the Chili Peppers’ albums, it’s worth noting that Stadium Arcadium is their most guitar-centric album in ages, and madman John Frusciante seems to be having so much fun in these recordings you can almost hear him smiling through his guitar work.
Insane ’70s wah-wahs, Big Muff distortion craziness – Stadium Arcadium has it all, and then some. Here’s hoping the concert lives up to the album…
If it does, I suppose I won’t be able to hear tomorrow :)
