Just in time for the first Anniversary of the destruction of New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina, Epiphone & Music Rising last week announced the release of the new limited edition Music Rising Epiphone Les Paul.
The guitar, which sports all the standard Les Paul features, including a mahogany body & neck, carved top, rosewood fretboard, body & neck binding, Alnico Classic Humbuckers, and of course a stopbar tailpiece, also boasts the uplifting “Music Rising” logo on the top, a custom gig bag, and a certificate of authenticity.
According to the press release the instrument will be available exclusively through Musician’s Friend (they’re apparently already taking advanced orders,) and all proceeds will go to Music Rising, the charitable organization co-founded by U2’s The Edge to help bring new instruments & music gear to musicians who lost their livelihood as a result of Katrina.
The Limited Edition Epiphone/Music Rising Les Paul is going for a street price of just under $600.
