Old Cars & Hot Guitars
Oooh, even more good giveaways… the Gibson Custom Shop and Hot Rod Magazine have apparently teamed up to give away a heavily customized, one-of-a-kind LP – what they’re calling the Hot Rod ’58 Les Paul.
According to the official contest website the instrument sports a host of seriously stylin’ features, including a cherry red finish with translucent flames, brushed-chrome truss rod cover and pickguard, heat-oxidized pickup covers (nice touch!) cream binding, a carved maple top, solid mahogany back, bumble bee capacitors, and a pair of Gibson’s BurstBucker pickups.
Contest details and an online entry form can be found at the Gibson Custom Shop’s contest page (Sorry, Contest Deadline Has Passed.) If you ask me that’s one seriously cherry guitar!
