Well, if you’ve been chomping at the bit to get into one of ESP’s seriously shreddin’ James Hetfield Signature guitars, now may be your big chance. It looks like music123.com has moved the LTD James Hetfield Truckster into their Outlet area, and are now selling the instrument at a Closeout price of just $899.
I wrote about the James Hetfield Truckster just a few weeks ago, so I won’t go into an in-depth description here, but suffice it to say it really is an incredibly sweet guitar for this price range.
This one is the LTD version, meaning it’s built in one of ESP’s Korean or Indonesian factories (instead of their flagship Japanese factory,) but don’t let that fool you–my main guitar is an LTD (the EC-400AT,) and it’s one of the finest instruments I’ve ever owned.
The James Hetfield Truckster features, among other things, a solid mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, Sperzel locking tuners (a must for those who like to torture their strings,) an aged finish, and of course a pair of Active EMG 81/60 pickups.
