I was given a guitar in 1978-9. It resembles a "Strat" shaped body and has built in effects(distortion, de'cay and vibrato) powered by 6 double "AA" batteries. It has a by-pass switch. I have looked every where to try to identify it but have had no success. I have never seen another one like it. I repaired the effects switches and they work perfectly. The neck was not only warped but also twisted. I saw no way to save it or repair it. I replaced the neck with a middle of the line "Fender" 1979-80 and it plays very well. In 1986 I was offered $1,700.00 dollars for it but refused. I still have it and play it regularly. Would you have any idea as to it's maker and what value it would have?

Thanks,
