New Features: MP3 Audio Samples & ‘First Looks’ Cary Oct 25th

Electric Guitar Review’s first Birthday is coming up (November 2nd,) and it’s got me thinking about ways to expand and enhance this blog. One idea I’ve been kicking around for a while––and yeah, it’s pretty much a no-brainer––is recording digital sound samples as part of my hands-on reviews.

So I’m pleased to let you know that I’ve ordered the equipment I need to put this feature into place, and starting with my next review you’ll find MP3 audio files posted along with my commentary. I think this will really contribute to the interactivity of this site.

Another feature I’ll be adding is one I’m borrowing from the good folks over at iLounge––the “First Look.” These are quick teaser posts to let you in on what equipment I have in for review, and they’ll give you an idea of what’s coming down the pipe. It’s basically a fun way to keep my readers informed of what’s going on around EGR Headquarters (aka, my spare room.)

Those are the two features I have set in stone at this time, but I’m completely open to other suggestions… I’m considering building an Electric Guitar Review Forum, and also have a few “Top Secret” ideas I’ll have to keep under wraps for the time being.
