Eastwood’s Reproduction Of The ‘64 National Newport Cary Nov 16th
Eastwood Guitars––the folks we can thank for bringing new life to many of the classic funky electric guitars of the early 20th Century––have announced an extremely limited edition of their new Airline Map guitar: a reproduction of the much loved and somewhat enigmatic ‘64 Valco National Newport.
Eastwood has initially produced just 24 of the guitars, sixteen of which are up for sale at this time (eight in Red, eight in Seafoam Green.) With a selling price of $999, shipping included, they’re expected to go fast!

According to their website, the Limited Edition Airline Map will sport a number of features only available as options on the upcoming 2007 production model, including vintage-voiced singlecoil pickups, New Old Stock VALCO knobs and chrome top hats, an authentic Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, and a custom Eastwood hardshell case.
As far as I know the Airline Map is currently only available through My Rare Guitars.
