Well, it looks like Gretsch has added yet another gorgeous instrument to their venerable Tennessee Rose line of arch-top hollowbody guitars––the latest being the Limited Edition Power “Tenny.”
The new “Tenny” comes in just a single finish, what Gretsch calls vintage “Flagstaff Sunset,” and the guitar boasts a 16“ x 2.75” laminated maple hollowbody with ’59 trestle bracing, a two-piece maple neck (24.6-inch scale length,) and an ebony fretboard with 22 frets (including zero fret) & Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays.
The Gretsch Power “Tenny” also sports a number of both traditional and modern features, including dual TV Jones PowerTron pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, Schaller straplocks, authentic Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece, aged body binding, a pinned adjusto-matic bridge, G-Arrow knobs, and CTS/Switchcraft electronics.
The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case, but so far there’s no word on pricing.
