What a nice Holiday surprise… ever since writing about the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst back in June I’ve received numerous e-mails asking if I knew where to get a hold of one of these uniquely beautiful instruments.
Unfortunately, for a good portion of this year they’ve been completely sold out, but now it looks like the Silverburst is back in production, and apparently due to reach stores in March of ‘07. OK, it’s still a ways away, but if you really want one it’ll probably be worth the wait.
If you’re wondering what all the hoopla is about I highly recommend you head over to the Les Paul Custom Silverburst page at Musician’s Friend and take a look at their close-up photos (click to enlarge)––the finish on this thing is drop dead gorgeous, and the price is certainly right.
Among other things the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst features a mahogany back, carved alder top, mahogany set neck, 24-3/4“ scale length, rosewood fingerboard, a pair of humbuckers, 5-ply top, back, and headstock binding, neck binding, and of course that trademark Silverburst finish.
I’m really glad to this beauty back in production…
