Price Drop! Fender’s Deluxe Player’s Stratocaster & More Cary Dec 27th

Fender Players StratocasterI guess the post-Christmas rush must be on because I just got my Musician’s Friend catalog in the mail (yep, trusty ol’ snail-mail,) and they’ve got some fairly nice deals going on right now in their clearance section.

A few that really stand out to me are the Gibson Les Paul Studios, now selling for $999.99, the Les Paul Vintage Mahogany, selling for just $799.99, and the Sienna Sunburst beauty pictured here––Fender’s Deluxe Player’s Stratocaster, which is now selling for $599.99.

The Deluxe Player’s Strat is a Mexican made instrument that’s been getting good user reviews, and it seems like a very good deal for this price range. The guitar includes three Vintage Noiseless singlecoil pickups, an ash body, maple “C” shaped neck, and a push-button switch that allows for seven different pickup configurations.

Of course, if you’re willing to spend a bit more cash you could move up to a true American Made instrument with Fender’s popular new Highway One Stratocaster––just $150 more, and probably worth every penny.

Anyways, I hope you all had a lovely Holiday… now it’s time to get back to work :(

  1. Rick:

I’ve played one of these at Guitar Center, and besides the tail piece, neck joint, & locking machine heads….it’s almost the identical guitar to my 2002 American Deluxe Strat (same pickups & neck)…which I bought in 2003 for $1100. It’s definitely a great deal at $600.

I also played their new Mexican 1950’s Strat…and it was nearly identical to the Eric Johnson model that cost twice as much.
