Schecter C-1 Exotic Star GuitarWow… over the weekend Schecter announced its latest addition to the popular C-model line of guitars––the new C-1 Exotic Star––and if the photos are any indication it looks like it’s going to be a strangely beautiful instrument.

The Exotic Star will apparently feature a highly-quilted maple top over an arched mahogany body, and will be available in three different hand-tinted gloss finishes, Snow Leppard, Lava Red, and Cayman Blue (Snow Leppard shown here.)

Other features include a 3-piece mahogany neck (set-in, 25.5“ scale length,) bound ebony fretboard with ‘nautical star’ inlay at the 12 fret, Schecter’s ultra-access neck joint, a pair of SuperRock-2 Humbucker pickups with finish-matched wooden bobbins, grover tuners, and a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body tail.

The Schecter C-1 Exotic Star has begun shipping, and carries a suggested retail price of $949, but I’m guessing street prices will probably run in the $650-700 range.
