So far there doesn’t seem to be any official “announcement” from Gibson, but if you cruise over to their Custom Shop website you’ll see that the latest splash screen (screenshot here,) indicates a Kiefer Sutherland guitar will be added to the Gibson Inspired By Series this month––more than likely to be debuted at NAMM.
So far there aren’t any specs available, but from the photo I’d say that the Kiefer Sutherland model appears to be an archtop hollowbody based on Gibson’s ever-popular ES-335. Dual Humbuckers, stopbar tailpiece, and a tune-o-matic bridge look likely, along with dual volume & tone knobs, three-way pickup switching, and body & fretboard binding.
Of course, it’s all speculation at this point, but I’ll definitely keep you posted as more info becomes available. I wonder if fans of Fox’s hit TV show 24 will push sales through the roof on this one––perhaps they should have named it the Gibson Jack Bauer Signature ;)

Looks smaller than an Es335. Possibly a 336?

Yep, and that’s exactly what it is… Gibson finally announced the specs over the weekend, and it is indeed based on an ES336 : )
