According to an e-mail announcement Schecter’s uniquely contoured (and might I add just plain good looking) Ultra guitar has received a thorough overhaul for 2007.
In its latest incarnation the Ultra will feature a pair of Seymour Duncan Designed HB-102 humbuckers, a coil-tapping tone control (for emulating single-coil pickups,) 3-way pickup switching, TonePros bridge unit, Grover tuners, and dual over-sized pickguards.
The guitar will also sport a three-piece mahogany neck (25.5“ scale length,) bound rosewood fretboard with 22 Jumbo frets, and a solid mahogany body enhanced with the Ultra’s trademark raised center slab, which according to Schecter adds ”natural sustain and clarity“ when combined with the TonePros bridge.
The ’07 Schecter Ultra will be available in Gloss Black & Vintage Creme, and is expected to sell for a little over $700 street price.
