Gibson Announces Guitar Of The Week #7 :: Les Paul Money Bass

Gibson-Les-Paul-Money-BassWell, Tuesday has just about passed us by (heck, it’s nearly 10pm as I write this,) and Gibson has jut now gotten around to updating their website with this week’s Guitar Of The Week––the Les Paul Money Bass in Manhattan Midnight Finish.

Like earlier offerings in the new series, this version of the Money Bass appears to be unique mostly for its gorgeous finish, and will be produced in an extremely limited run of just 400 instruments.

According to Gibson’s website, the Les Paul Money Bass in Manhattan Midnight will feature an AA maple top, mahogany back with a walnut tone plate, mahogany neck with rounded bass profile (34″ scale length,) and a rosewood fretboard with 24 frets.

Electronics include a pair of TB Plus ceramic humbucker pickups, dual volume controls, and a single tone control, while hardware (chrome plated) includes black speed knobs, Grover Bass tuning machines, and an adjustable brass bridge.

The Les Paul Money Bass will be built in the USA, and is expected to ship with a reptile pattern hard case. Price estimated at around $1100.
