‘69 Camaro clone not good enough for you? No problem. Check out Fender’s Play Loud- Go Fast Sweepstakes––the guitar manufacturer has apparently teamed up with auto maker Ford to give away a 2007 Shelby GT Mustang, along with a matching Shelby-styled Stratocaster.
According to the official contest page, this Shelby GT will come fully decked out with Ford’s Racing Performance and Handling packages, not to mention a 325-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 engine, silver LeMans-style racing stripes, brushed aluminum grill, a rather imposing looking hood scoop (direct descendant of the Shelby Cobra roadster,) Hurst short-throw shifter and more…
To add to the fun, the Fender Custom Shop Shelby GT Strat will feature a black urethane finish adorned with a silver Shelby GT racing stripe, custom Ford logo beneath the bridge, and even a silver Mustang “Pony” silhouette on the headstock.
The guitar will also sport an alder body, satin-finished maple neck (9.5” radius,) ebony fretboard, American Standard frets, Fender “Invader” humbucker at the bridge, hard tail bridge, SO-CAL Speed Shop volume knob, Schaller tuning machines, and a matching custom case.
You can sign-on for this contest via the official Play Loud- Go Fast Sweepstakes page.
