Fans of Gibson’s legendary ES-335, not to mention all the other great “Electric Spanish” model hollowbodies, will definitely want to check out Gibson’s slick new microsite.
There’s a ton of great info here, including an entire collection of video footage shot behind the scenes at Gibson’s Memphis Custom Shop, a look at the history of the Electric Spanish Series, a fun collection of vintage Gibson print-ads, a run-down of all the current ES instruments, and a photo gallery of famous performers and their Gibsons.
To top it off they’ve published some fantastic videos of the Electric Spanish in action, including live footage with B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Otis Rush, and a bunch of others (check out my guitar hero, Mr. Freddie King!)
