Before I sign off for the weekend I just wanted to leave you all with a quick look at this beautiful stompbox I just got in for review––a brand spankin’ new prototype of Effectrode’s Phaseomatic Deluxe.
The pedal is essentially a re-ingeneered “Deluxe” version of the world’s first photo-optical, vacuum tube phaser, and like its predecessors (See my review of the Tube-Vibe,) the Phaseomatic Deluxe is decked out in gorgeous retro-’50s styling, and packed into a road-worthy die-cast aluminum chassis.
Yep, that’s three easy-access 12AT7 tubes poking out of the top, meaning this bad boy sucks too much power to run on a 9v battery, but the pedal should run smoothly off any standard-size 12v DC adaptor with a center-negative connector. Three old-school chicken head knobs and a toggle switch round out the vintage look.
Keep an eye out for the full review here on EGR… it should be up in the next week or so.

Looking forward to the full review. That thing has an outstanding retro look. I feel like I should put it on top of my TV and use it to switch channels (and switch between VHF and UHF).

Hehe… yeah, it kind of looks like something you’d find on the dashboard of a ’50s era flying saucer :)
Phil makes great equipment––unfortunately I blew a tube on my main amplifier the same day I got this beauty in, so I haven’t even plugged it in yet…
