You're right when you say it's really nothing more than a '61 reissue in white but to be fair, '61s in white are hard to come by and they look great. The colour is pretty nice. Not super white, but a bit creamier/yellowy looking. I'm not a fan of the headstock shape. The dips seem a bit exaggerated where they end up at the point on the outer corners. The kluson tuners are nice, but I really wish they'd gone with the classier ferrule things like on the old guitars instead of the big washer/nut combo. Fit and finish seems pretty good and it plays well. Other than that, it's just an SG with Classic '57s (which, IMO are the nicest Gibson pickups...). It's nice enough that I may even sell my custom shop '61. No point in hanging on to that expensive thing when this guitar does the same thing for a lot less. Got my week 26 white SG yesterday.
