the reverend volcano is made of korina and not mahogany. the original gibson flying vees were also made of korina which is considered a kind of "super mahogany" - light in weight and highly resonant. i am surprised that this highly significant point has been missed.

I've got one of these..(Cream Color).and 4 other Reverend models. These are absolutely the best bang for the buck out there. The Volcano gives you super thick power chords...amazingly thick lead tones and ...if you factor in the Bass Contour Control you can get some really interesting single coil territory sounds. If you haven't checked out Reverend and you like great guitars for little cash(who doesn't?) then you're missing out. And, no...I'm not on the Reverend payroll!

Franco, I thought the same thing... I've never been a big Flying V fan, but the finish on this thing, not to mention the cool headstock, looks really amazing.

I definitely wouldn't mind owning one.

That guitar is the first one that made think about the possibility of owning a V.
It looks so cool.
