As if the Halo 3 marketing juggernaut weren’t already powerful enough––they’re pawning off energy drinks for gawd’s sake––Ibanez is now set to give away three Custom Halo 3 Xiphos XPT700 guitars over the next three months.
The guitar features a mahogany body, 5-piece Wizard II maple thru-neck, rosewood fretboard with jumbo frets, reverse sharktooth inalys, and a pair of DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers––but of course the real story here is that custom Halo 3 graphic.
Winners will also be receiving the Halo 3 game for XBOX 360, a Halo 3 t-shirt from Bungie, and an Ibanez t-shirt to boot. The full prize package, which will be given away once each month from October – December, apparently carries a retail value of $1599.99.

I find they also don’t get buying lots of guitars or amps or pedals…

Hey guys,
Well I got one. I have pictures if you would like to see (just email me). I collect Ibanez guitars and I am a Halo 1, 2, and 3 fan so I had to find one of these. And seeing as how they only did 3 giveaways on the Ibanez site and 3 other giveaways around the USA through radio and whatnot, it was not easy to find…. Only 6 in existance. Doubt I will play it. I play JS and JEM Ibanez guitars. This body style is a little too radical for my music and band. BUT its a great collector’s piece!!!

Hey…. My brother won one of these Ibanez Halo 3 guitars. Only opened to take pictures and admire. Still has the box and tags on it. This guitar was the grand prize in a western states Halo 3 tournament. Must sell for college expenses. Let me know if you are interested in buying. I will be putting it on EBay shortly.
