Well, Eastwood has done it again… just when I was beginning to feel content with my current guitar line-up, along comes word that the world’s most prolific “retro” guitar builder is producing an extremely limited run of these classic Airline 2P DLX guitars––in stunning Metallic Copper finish.
And when I say “limited” I mean limited: they’ll be building just 24 of these beauties.
According to Eastwood, the Custom Shop Metallic Copper LTD Airline has been fully updated with over $300 in upgrades, including a pair of upgraded Alnico HOT-10 humbuckers, “New Old Stock” 1962 Valco volume and tone knobs, Signed Certificate of Authenticity, and a Deluxe Hardshell Case.
Other specs include an Airline Custom Chrome tailpiece, Chrome “top hat” master volume knob, and authentic Kluson Deluxe White Button tuners.
And for those of you with a serious vintage jones, an authentic Bigsby tremolo unit can be added for an extra $129. The Metallic Copper LTD Airline DLX is selling for $945, and is apparently ready to ship today.

Another groovy Eastwood – I wonder if anyone has plans to distribute them in the U.K.? There’s at least a couple I’d contemplate buying.

Yeah, I don’t know about actual distributors, but according to their website Eastwood does ship to Europe with 5-day delivery.

Just bought one of these. Been wanting an Eastwood for a long time, and the combo of the upgrades and the tiny limited run got me. Expecting to receive next week.

Nice, good for you. I like the look, but I think those knobs above the strings would drive me crazy.
