So I wrote to Fender yesterday and asked about a release date and this is what I got back.

Thanks for writing in. As of right now, we are not doing an Elvis Costello Jazzmaster. There have been some talks, but nothing is official. Madison WI, early 1980s. My Aim is True and This Year’s Model opened my eyes and ears to all of the possibilities beyond hard rock. They are still two of my favorite albums – yes, I have them on vinyl . Elvis is the man! Very cool guitar.

hahaha wow. I can’t even tell you how many of these stripped-once Sunburst Jazzmasters used to be around, and now they’re reissuing them! The Kevin Shields and Thurston Moore models can’t be too far behind…
