Great comment, I wonder why no one else thinks like that, ball end in tha tuner?! How cool… Why spend $4to5K for a 513 PRS, I do wish it were an all Mahogany guitar however, for a more darker sound. Wonder how it would sound with Super 58′s installed! Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

fools! why do you all use to cut ball ends of strings?!?! the best way to put strings on a floyd guitar i keeping the ball edge in the tuner!!!!!

anyway, i find this new Ibanez a wonderful guitar, i will sell my PGM300 and get one of these…

Anybody know if the SynchroniZR bridge/vibrato requires cutting the ball ends of strings like a Floyd Rose? I hear it’s switchable between fixed and floating vibrato.

Mikey here from Steve Vai’s official website. Just letting you know that the Ibanez SV Prestige is NOT a Steve Vai model. It just happens to have the same initials.

Steve’s signature lines through Ibanez are the Jem 6-string, the Universe 7-string and the Euphoria acoustic.

I’ve been saving up and selling old mid-range guitars towards a Jem – but I’ve always liked my ancient, used, beat-up S-Classic I have (that’s now for sale) – I almost want to wait on the Jem until I can play this SV5470, but my teacher pointed out how there are no locks up at the nut in this picture, whereas an RG or a Jem always has those standard… tough call, I get one shot at having my “super nice, very expensive guitar”, and that’s it. Oh the choices…

Finally an Ibanez axe with rounded-edge horns off the cutaways that has no locking tremolo system. I don’t like locked systems, but all the Ibanez axes without it have the very sharp looking horns, which I don’t like. Mmmmmm…. I wants to try it…
