Nice… based on their popular Flying-V styled Volcano, Reverend this weekend officially announced the release of the new Ron Asheton Signature guitar––named after Iggy Pop & The Stooges guitarist/songwriter Ron Asheton.
The guitar will feature a solid Korina body with raised center, optional tremolo, and a dual-action truss rod (with headstock access,) but the real story here are a trio of Reverend P90 pickups, calibrated for tone & output based on position, 5-way pickup switching (including hum-cancelling when combined,) and a “Bass Contour” control to boot.
Other features are expected to include a single-piece Korina neck (glued on, and with a tilted headstock,)24-3/4“ scale length, rosewood fretboard with 12” radius and 22 MJ frets, graphite nut, Wilkinson EZ-Lock tuners, triple lightning bolt logo, and a TOM bridge with stopbar tailpiece.
Reverend Guitars is asking a list price of $839, and the guitar will be available in both Midnight Black, and Rock Orange finishes. No word yet on when to expect the Ron Asheton Signature to ship.

I think Reverend has a good thing going, but I just can’t get past the headstock on their Gibson-style guitars. And it’s even worse sitting on the Volcano. Overall a very cool guitar, but the classic Gibson ” ^ ” headstock looks so much cooler.

Yeah I agree with Tom, that headstock just doesn’t suit the V does it? But then that’s the manufacturers trademark and for small companies I guess they want it to be consistent across all the guitars?

Good to see Ron seeing sense and going back to set neck guitars.

I own two Reverend Guitars and they are simply the best guitars for the price. The headstock is a little drawn out, but it fits with the style they have created in their other guitars. Love them….and thye actually answer your service questions. Most of the time its by the owner himself - Joe Naylor.
