Well you’ve got to hand it to ‘em––ESP’s R&D department certainly wasn’t resting on their laurels this past year. The company has announced that for 2008 over 50 new and improved guitars and basses will be added to their line-up.
And these are just the six strings…

Isn’t this a bit too much all at once? I mean from a sales point of view, is not a bit of lack of focusing?

So, they’re jumping into the relic wagon… But will they use nitro finish? I’ve seen relicked guitars that had a poly finish, it’s utterly bad. I like those faked/aged things, but you have to do it right… :/

Gosh, I wonder if Fender and Gibson will start some lawsuits, with some of them axes looking very much like Strats and Les Pauls.
I actually like some of the more ESP-typical models, but with a less metal look, for folks like me who like metal, but don’t play it a whole lot and yet would like to have an ESP machine. Nevertheless, looks like the R&D folks at ESP just had one hell of a brainstorm going on.

Wow man, looks so damn cool. I’ve always been in love with their Les Paul shaped axes. Borrowed an Ltd EC1000 from a friend of mine for a while, awesome. If I had some serious cash, I’d go for the Eclipse Custom.. :-)

Cary, you OK man?

Thanks for asking Don… nothing OK about me right now.
It’s a struggle just to find a reason to get out of bed every day, let alone find the energy to blog.
That said, I AM being proactive about getting my life back––but it’s a long and hard struggle to find a reason for living when the one person who made your life meaningful has been forcibly taken from you.
I think right now I’m suffering from both normal grief, and also PTSD. Five years of watching your young, beautiful wife die is more traumatic than you can begin to imagine.
My soul needs healing, and I suppose that’s no short order.
Thanks for asking, Cary

Cary,
I check the page everyday and hope you’ll be back in action soon. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say we miss you and only want the best for you.
Maybe some of the regular forum contributors could guest on EGR to keep the readership up until you are ready to return to us.

Badger here…I would definitely be willing to give it a shot. Maybe we can take a team approach?
Gibzenerfender, it’s good to see you posting here. We could use your input over on the forum. Activity over there has been slow as well…
