I’m sure this Strat is cool and brings some new twist. Corgan’s comment about Fender being “behind the curve” is just ridiculous.

And many of you know that I’m not generally a Fender DEFender.

Well, there are also somewhat more affordable made-in-mexico Jaguars (one model with HBs) and a Jazzmaster out, and Squier has a new Duo Sonic (with anodized p/g) and 50s P-Bass… all are fairly cool.

Somebody’s pumpkin has been smashed too many times. What a behind the curve comment!

The EJ Strat, among others are hardly behind the curve. Maybe Corgan wants to cut heads with Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck or Yngwie Malmsteen. Or maybe not. Malmsteen is a pretty high gain player– and EJ & JB know something about getting their personalities to shine thru.

Is the Billy Corgan Strat the only hi-lite Fender could come up with for Summer NAMM ’08?
