Guitar Raffle To Benefit The American Cancer Society, In Honor Of Josie Alise Greenwood

Disclosure Policy | Thu, May 13, 2010 | 4074 |

As many of you know, I lost my young wife Lori to cancer in October of 2007, and hence, this cause is particularly close to my heart. Please consider forwarding this to all your guitar-loving friends. We will all be touched by cancer one day. Here’s a chance to help fight this terrible disease and get a crack at winning one gorgeous custom guitar to boot.

The following letter is from Vintage Guitar Magazine publisher Alan Greenwood.

“On April 9, 2007, Josie Alise Greenwood, my 3-year-old grand niece, died of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As you may imagine, it was devastating to her family. They formed Team Josie, which participates in the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life and to date have raised nearly $13,000 for the Society. This year, Team Josie is raffling a custom guitar being graciously donated by luthier Jason Schroeder, of Jason Z. Schroeder Guitars, Redding, California. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

To learn more about the guitar, click on the link below. And please consider purchasing a ticket – it is for a very good cause and you may acquire a very fine custom-made instrument. I would consider it a personal favor if you would also pass this along to anyone you think might be interested in purchasing a ticket.
